Very nice. Just can't beat the look of Honda's red P5, the best IMO. Btw, what part of Arkansas?View attachment 18794 Hello all. Bought a new (2016) P500 a week ago. I own a p1000-5 and i gotta say this p500 is just plain ole fun to drive. We go ride around here in Arkansas more and more it seems, so we got this for our two boys (teenagers) and my father to ride when we go places. Around our place its my wife that rides it the most. We just put some rims and tires on it yesterday and WOW what a difference it made! She named it Tootle Bug! Here some pics View attachment 18795 View attachment 18796 View attachment 18797 View attachment 18798
Mayflower (between Conway and Little rock) you an arky?Very nice. Just can't beat the look of Honda's red P5, the best IMO. Btw, what part of Arkansas?
Spent a few years in that area. Went to college at Hendrix, my wife went to UCA. Lots of nice country to ride. However, don't miss the hot summers at all. Ha!Mayflower (between Conway and Little rock) you an arky?
Yep, in part. Hot Springs. Maybe we can hook up for a ride sometime.Mayflower (between Conway and Little rock) you an arky?

Sounds good
9/26 front 11/26 rear. I wasnt sure about the ripsaws but they are knee deep in tread and the ride isnt half bad either!Nice ride. I like the Red, too! What size tires are you running, now?
Been running 27"x11"x14" Ripsaws on all four corners for over 3200 miles. Starting to show some wear, now. Probably gonna replace this fall. Good tires, good ride, great tread. You should be pleased.9/26 front 11/26 rear. I wasnt sure about the ripsaws but they are knee deep in tread and the ride isnt half bad either!
I started to put 27's on it but I wasnt sure of how (tippy) it would make it. Is yours still stable?Been running 27"x11"x14" Ripsaws on all four corners for over 3200 miles. Starting to show some wear, now. Probably gonna replace this fall. Good tires, good ride, great tread. You should be pleased.
I use 26's with 8 psi. and a disconnected sway bar, and went 1" wider front and back on the tires. Stability is much better than stock. But any taller wheels and you have to go wider, offsets or spacers, which defeats the purpose of buying a 50" machine to begin with. I agree but i bought it based on price point. Theres not any trails here in arkansas that limit us to 50" (that i know of) so a little extra width doesnt matter much to me. Dont get me wrong i didnt want it too wide either or i bet it will cover us in mud.I use 26's with 8 psi. and a disconnected sway bar, and went 1" wider front and back on the tires. Ever ride the off road park down there? Is it any good?I use 26's with 8 psi. and a disconnected sway bar, and went 1" wider front and back on the tires. Stability is much better than stock. I don't have any trouble. I am running 5+2 offset 14" wheels, and coupled with 11" widths all around, I'm right at 53" wide. I've been on some fairly scary mountain trails, as well as spongy moss and bottomless swamps. It's only been stopped once (first day, no winch), and I've never tipped over. Most of my off road driving is done while heavily loaded (packing in or out), so I haven't removed my sway bar. As it is, it's also my daily driver out here, so probably 70% of the time I'm running paved or gravel roads. It's been everything I expected, and more. The ultimate bush AK vehicle. Honda should use that as a marketing campaign. Ha!I started to put 27's on it but I wasnt sure of how (tippy) it would make it. Is yours still stable?
I have 5+2 also with the rip saws it really made a difference im impressed! I just cant get over how fun this little rig is. Really wish I could put some riding time on it but it like 103f here in ArkansasI don't have any trouble. Lived in Northeast AR for almost 39 years. (Spent college years in Central AR.) Know all about the heat accompanying AR summers. Don't miss it at all. Moving to AK was wonderful in that respect. Today's high was 61, here in the Aleutian Chain. Hate to rub that in, but it's hard not to when I'm giggling like a schoolgirl every day. I agree thats why I haven't gone there either we did go to Macks Pines recently on they're first annual swimming hole ride and had a great time.I haven't, but intend to give it a go sometime. We just have so many more miles of trail in the ONF to explore that I haven't yet gone there.
