P1000 Tuners...

What do you need brakes for? Lol. Seriously, my average speed is 5-15mph. With 35” tires & 55% gear reduction max is 40mph. Just ordered Jared Doster (Texas Tough Customs) a-arms & gonna bump up to 37s maybe 38s

I'd like to have a bit more power for 30s and no lift and a bit more RPM to do 70mph. With Elkas the ride is pretty decent and the machine feels good at 60+.

Mine and my buddies on 35’s. We just mud so need the power to spin the tires. We won’t go fast at all. Mine rarely sees over 25mph.

I have the PV3 and tune from Zachary Morris. No I don’t dyno nor will I but I will tell you I feel a huge difference low end and if I had to put a # on it I’d say 25-30% better. And soon as I have time to data log and send to him he will fine tune it and says I will get more. My numbers may be off but I’m telling you that’s what it feels like and that’s what matters to me. Well worth the money and the service has been top notch for me. I actually have a buddy driving over to meet him tomorrow to pick up some parts we bought from him for both of our Pioneers and was too expensive to ship.

so I'm new to all of this. Do I buy the PV3 and send it to someone who has built a tune and then upload it to my machine or does the PV3 have all the stuff i need to boost power?

It depends. You could buy a tuner like the PV3 from a shop that will load the tunes and send it to you, like DynoJet. Or you could buy it with no tunes installed then buy a tune online and download it to the device. When you first connect it to the OBD2 port, it should upload the machine's stock tune to the PV3, then give you the option to load the new tune. Save the stock tune on a safe place on your computer or thumb drive--if the PV3 breaks or gets lost, you'll need the original stock info (and a new PV3) to restore it to stock.

who writes awesome tunes, I have 2016 p1000-5 Deluxe, I ride mostly trails with some climbing and some mud but mostly climbing. thanks for the previous reply.

So far only place I can recommend is Complete Off-road Powersports out of Texas, the Morris brothers. I have tried Silber, Hess, DynoJet and Morris brothers. Pretty sure the first two are just DynoJet stock tunes with different name. The Morris tune really woke my machine up. So much that I bought a 93 tune from them to try but haven’t tested yet.

So far I have only used the Dynojet tune.

This past weekend, Was flying down a straight paved road with my friend on a General. I finally opened it up down the road. He was behind me. My 1000 got to 69 mph before the rev limiter hit. Was 66 before the tune. I'm on 235/75/15 tires, so I'm sure it was going more than 70. Later on, he told me that I was walking away from him. I guess the Generals are limited to 70. He actually asked if I had a tune or did something to it. LOL. I still doubt that I'd keep up in a drag race though.

I have a new Pv 3 in a box never installed for that machine,after reading the install instructions I realized it wasn’t for me if ur interested,say so I’ll sell it for 150.

Powervision or Powercommander? PV is a flash tuner. PC has to be installed.
