You guys think Honda beefed up the engine internals like what Yamaha did on the 2019 YXZ so it would be turbo ready? And if HRC offers a turbo kit will it void the warranty?

Nobody has a lot of specs yet but it does look like the upgrades done that they have mentioned was for a power adder. Kept compression low, large cam with more duration towards the exhaust side, larger throttle body, larger injectors, better cylinder head and piston oil squirters. Looks like a nice open void behind the motor also. Honda is known to be overkill/bulletproof on the engine internals. I would think they would let the aftermarket work out any shortcomings before offering a factory turbo kit but looks like Honda gave them a good platform.

Honda almost has to be considering a turbo version of the Talon. I don’t think we’ll see it for a year or two so they can make sure all the bugs are worked out and everything is fined tuned though. The thing will be if aftermarket companies beat them too it but I’m betting if they do Honda won’t honor warrenty on Talons equipped with a kit.

I saw the HRC turbo testing while installed on a car. Hopefully there won’t be any turbo lag.

Actually, Adapto-fit-Hillbilly Engineering got the contract. But if they want $480 for an accessory windshield wiper, this will set you back $6K.

That picture was found to be a fluke right?
LMAO, considering I'm the one that made it up yes, a very poorly done picture in MS paint at that.

Although the pictures is bogus, there was a kit "allegedly" (disclaimers for no future subpoenas) made up and tested that was supposed to be offered as an official accessory. The current status of that is unknown. I suspect big H is waiting to see how many Talons get fubar as is before unleashing 50% more HP.

Premonition time, I said $6K last December, so it's actually $5,700 MSRP, I was only off by 5% :D

My thing is why pay 5700.00 for the kit when you know it's coming as an additional model... Why not wait until the turbo model comes out for 1000-1500 more?? Even if it's 2 grand I'd rather have it as a factory built unit than an aftermarket add on.

Information to date shows it will not be put on the machine from the factory. Only available as an add on.

Judging from the fact that Honda has partnered with Jackson Racing to develop an endorsed turbo kit, and that they say it is plug-and-play and no internal engine changes are necessary, I'd say they considered the possibility of a turbo from the beginning.

It’s gonna have to be a lot cheaper than the $6K Jackson Turbo for someone like me to even consider it. I’m looking into a Honda V-Tech Type R motor for $6K bran new from Honda 300+HP full motor. So $6K for just a Turbo is a complete joke To me. I mean if your going to void the warranty anyway then why not go out in stile. LoL!!! With that V-Tech motor installed you will never be underpowered ever again. Those motors are bulletproof. How much power you want. It can do it. 400-500 HP. Heck 1000 HP. Just saying. $6K for just a Turbo is a F-N joke when you can buy a hole motor with a Turbo for the same price. The Turbo should only be around $700 - $1,000 max.
