I use the charbroil infrared oil less deep fryer. I've cooked 20 birds on this thing and they turn out perfect every time. Juicy! 7 min a lb and no oil to mess with.

Try it this year. You wont regret it. If you really want to make it great. I like to use a creole rub and inject a stick of butter throughout.I bought one after your refer and still haven’t used it yet! Lol

Good luck. I did the untraditional too. Smoked a brisket....Spatchcocking the bird today......ok wish the process was called something different. Some of the best chickens I’ve cooked have been this way. Not the traditional presentation, but chickens cook even. We’ll see how a bigger bird does. Brined overnight.
