I went around last time but the water was so deep is was crazy. We did make it to and down the Widowmaker

Here is the gate at the Royal Blue Chip Mill and a view from the end of Widowmaker off old hwy 63. You can only go in and out across from Red Ash Rd at the creek crossing.

I doubt this time of year TWRA is in high enforcement mode, typically the weeks of the major holidays are when you will see them setting up actual checkpoints. Beyond that there is no rhyme or reason to when you may run across a TWRA Officer who will randomly check permits / etc.

As far as wobble pop, if you get caught it's $385 min and a mandatory court appearance unless you hire an attorney to represent you. Even with an Attorney, if you plan to plead guilty and just pay, you can only plead guilty in person regardless of representative council presence.

They’ve always been extremely nice to me.

It’s not like we can hang out at the eternal flame until 3 o’clock in the morning anymore so the drinking doesn’t really bother me but my wife and other friends it’s been a dealbreaker.
