Last trip the seat got really warm on a long slow uphill climb. Never got more than 2 bars on the gage, but the seats were very warm. So I ordered the 8" fan from Amazon.

Is there an optimal placement? Kind thinking angled to shoot down the passenger side? I believe I saw it in one of Ohanacreeks posts.

Mine is angled toward the headers.. my wife doesn’t notice any heat but I still do on the drivers side as it doesn’t flow there.

Most are aiming it to push the air across the exhaust and out the back.

ECB45C8F 5B67 42BB A29E 675DD369EAC4 Not 8” but works well. I would say the one fan closets to the motor is most important. If you do a search on here you will find really good information.

I went dual fans as well and added thicker rubber all the way from front of seat bottom to top of seat top. Fixed hot seat issue for sure but be aware it just pushed more heat into rear seats and I’ve yet to figure out how to seal it good.

Mine are pointed at exhaust/head as well. My 7" finally gave up the ghost (one too many creek crossings i guess). Still have the 3" blower.

Rear seat heat could be an issue. Also, most of the fans I see are mounted high. Thought about a 4 inch with a hose mounted low, blowing at skid plate level as a backup.
Also, where did you get the big piece of rubber material?

I put a fan on my first pioneer "pre Honda fix". On my second go around it was the least important accessory so i didnt even mess with putting one on. The new "heat fix" is fine with me plus i take off my windshield that helps. I guess were going into the complaning about seat heat season once again. Lol

Mine is a 2018 with the factory heat shields etc. Was a little paranoid when I bought it after doing all the research and hearing about the issues.

I do not believe it was going to catch fire, but summer is not here and can only imagine it will only get worse. The steam baths are not pleasant either.

If I can remedy it for the cost of a fan and a little extra shielding, then it will make me feel even better about spending the money to buy this thing!

Yes the fans and shield are cheap for sure. My 4yr old niece rides with us a good bit and she complained about the heat from around seat belt area and I agree it was pretty damn warm especially here in south GA. It’s a non issue now for me even during the steam when hitting water holes. Just got to find way to seal up back and keep feet area from being so hot
