Pretty neat comparison test here 2018 Honda Pioneer 1000-5 vs. 2018 Kawasaki Teryx4 vs. 2018 Yamaha Wolverine X4

What stood out to me was the sound test decibels. The gap the Honda has at 30mph is huge! Reinforces the general feeling from folks that the Kawi is loud.

This data surprises me quite a bit. My wife and I put some pretty good miles down on the x4 and really liked how much quieter the machine was as we were driving it, I’m curious where the dB meter was placed

My take was that the X4 was the choice for "tight trails" and the Pion for those who also work. And the Kwacker just sucked ass.

Interesting results, given thier "choice" scored 5 stars in 8 sections while the P1K scored 5 stars in 10 sections.

Yamaha must have had those Chicago voters pulling for it, vote early vote often.

I owned the Teryx 4 and drove the Yamaha. The Teryx has 8 inches of suspension travel and a top speed of under 50 mph, The Yamaha has about 8.5 inches of travel and a top speed of near 50. Both are belt drive and have small engines. The Yamaha is way better then the Teryx but the Teryx is 7 years old. I have 11,525 miles on my 2016 P1000 and nothing broke. Try that with a belt drive. The belt change on the Teryx requires removing the gas tank and you have to remove the pulleys.
