valve adjustment, did the Pioneer need it

I would do it at least to check. Better to be safe then sorry.
Yet, I read that many people who do there own first service don't worry about it until it becomes noticeable.
Plus, many dealers want to charge $200+ for that job.

If someone does do it I would like to request some good pictures. Thanks.

easy to do takes about 30mins, didn't change the performance on mine but it was a bit quieter.

Mine were a little loose.like ohanacreek said about 30mins. a narrow feeler gauge helps. I had to narrow mine up a bit

I did mine at 23 hours I believe I bought the service manual , was a big help
