P1000 Viper V2 winch install help

Installing the new V2 Viper winch. It’s all going well except for the remote control box. There’s 4 wires coming out of it,
Red=power
Black=ground
White=? Has a piggyback spade connecter
Yellow=? Has a piggyback spade connector

The red and black are for power + & -. The white and yellow are for "reversing", they would typically go to a manual panel switch (DPDT wired for reversing), or a wireless remote control etc. The reason they have a piggyback connection is so you can conveniently add additional winch controls.

On the previous diagram Remington posted, the blue wire on the wireless remote (not shown connected), is the wireless receiver antenna. It's a good idea to add a switch in the red power wire to the wireless receiver. This is to disable the receiver when not in use, and prevents any spurious radio frequency interference from running the winch uncommanded, and potentially doing damage

Got it all installed. Thanks for the assist. Only glitch is the remote works backwards, I’m sure its operator/installer error. Spent a lot of time cutting cables to length, but it turned out clean.

I installed my V2, but I didn't even look at the instructions.

Here is the wireless instructions.
If in/out is backwards. Just flip the yellow and white.
Or green and black if the rocker switch is backwards.

Also worth noting.
No wireless remote replacements are available. So buy a lanyard for it and keep up with it.

Update. I contacted MotoAlliance about the free spool difficulty of the V2 winch. Here’s their response.
We are aware of the free spool problem and we have parts to fix them en-route. Once we get them we will send out a fixed V2 winch out to you.
It’s always something.

Hey Dan, I installed mine yesterday and noticed the same that the remote was opposite the rocker……curious if your cable is winding under or over the spool. I did the upside down install. Mine is going under so I think I need to switch rocker wires and remote wires are right. Thanks

My cable is going under, but the winch installs upside down, sooooooo, I guess the cable is on top?. Switching the white and yellow solved the problem. Although I'm going to have to remove it to put in a winch with a fixed free spool upgrade when they get the parts.
