This was my set up while running a rag top. This Walmart roof rack fits inside the rear halo of the ROPS on a 5 seater nicely. I had it held in place with simple U-bolts. We could fit 4 lawn chairs, towels, and a little duffel bag up high, and from the outside of the buggy you couldn’t even tell it was up there.

This was pre-chop and with the rag top there’s plenty of room to access the items in the basket over the bar from the front seat.

So can u access items without taking top off? I have the honda hard top, that looks like good storage.

This won’t work with the hard top. With a soft top the fiberglass poles give you a big opening between the roof and the ROPS bar.

^ I say this won’t work as is with a hard top. But I’ve been thinking on it a little, because I miss the extra storage.

This idea got me thinking. I did a similar set up in my Transit when I had it but I used a heavy duty cargo net from one of the companies that build them for the back of open Jeeps. I added some heavy connection points on the ceiling, and the net hung low enough to allow me to use it for sleeping bags, clothes, etc....all stuff that I didn't want rolling around with the dogs and/dirt bikes when I had the van loaded.

I still have that net after selling the van. I'll play around with it today and see how and if it'll work on the Pioneer and post some photos later.

That’s actually the path I’ve been looking at as well, the Jeep community can buy net set ups just like that they call “attics” I’d love to see how yours turns out.

yes, please . I need to store some things overhead. On my old 700-4 I used a boat "T-Bag" and it worked well
maybe make some rubber mounted hinges for one side so it can swing down for access on the other
