P500 Warn Axon 4500 Winch on the P-520

Can I mount and use a Warn Axon 4500 Winch on my P-520? I have a Strong Made front bumper to mount the winch to. Will I create a power supply issue connecting the winch to the stock battery power supply. Also any other installation tips or should I look at the Axon 3500.

I have a 3500 winch mounted directly to my P500s Strongmade bumper. I drilled the mounting bolt pattern in the bumper. Added 6 ga power lead directly from the battery, with a waterproof switched breaker inline and close to the battery. The breaker switch amp rating should be consistent with the max winch amp draw, usually listed in its owners manual. You should be able to find several prior threads on winch installation via search.

Also recommend the Honda OEM Sub harness, you can use one of the 4 key on power leads as the low amp power trigger for your winch. A $20 wireless remote is also handy.

P500 - Call for winch wiring help??

Been having PM with newer member @HP5NC about wiring winch, and suggesting a run of heavy guage wire to under hood/junction posts and using a switched circuit breaker near battery. He plans to add front light bar, etc later. Searched some old threads but wondering if someone has a simple line...

I have an Axon 45-s mounted on my P520. Might be a bit over kill, but I wanted the hand held remote in addition to the normal rocker mounted on the dash. I decided right now to not mount the rocker, and just made the remote plug easily accessible.

I ordered the KFI winch mount and fairlead mount.

Have you considered a wireless Winch remote? Handy controller if away from the sxs, like clearing trails or chores. I’ve never used the wired remote since. PS. Like that blue.
