So I was lucky enough to be able to buy a new 2022 base p1000-5. Was looking at the panel storage mods and liked them, but being put on a budget I could not spend for the green or camo panels as they are expensive. These hatches were $12 and I can remove and upgrade later. I think they turned out nice. They are dust and water proof. Everything fit just so with trimming. As requested here is a link to the hatches I ordered. I used machine screws with nylon locking nuts instead of self tapping screws provided.

Innovative . . . I like that!

Only downside might be that it may be difficult to get some objects, but for most of the stuff you'd probably want to carry, should do just fine!

This was the biggest Hatch I could find that would fit without really hacking up the door for the future. I did trim of the inner part of the hatch ring so that it allowed more space in the opening of the door. I have large hands and you can see there is room, but will be limited to the size of what goes in. This will keep down the weight I put in the door. I plan on the under seat storage for bigger heavier items. I am also adding the rear bed panel storage mod. I could get some black panels for there for $12 each and it will match.

That is a great idea. Super Awesome for the guys without the rear panels! You should post some links to the product door.
