Back when I was young and worked on job sites every day, in the summer I would be on job sites a day break, might mean leaving shop at 5:00 AM, gather material for the next day in the heat of the day and be off at 2:00 PM to beat the heat, or work the roof top gas jobs at night. I don't understand the younger generation who doesn't work smart in the summer???????? Or maybe, I'm a woose?

Our field guys do that, or night shift, and have tents/umbrellas for heat of day use.

Some stuffs gotta be done in the day though.

60% humidity ain't bad, it is 90% PLUS that kills me ..... here in subtropic La. I use to LOVE the summers as a kid ..... not any more!

Yeah it was above 90% a little earlier, as air warms up it can hold more humidity.

Eternally 75F, mountain s are just few miles away and 30-40s up there.

That stinking Heat Index! We've been running over 100* for quite a few days up here and only a few places around here are airconditioned. As a house painter, we've been starting as early as the homeowners would let us and "chasing the shade" as much as we can but there have been 5 days this summer that we have bagged it before we even went to the jobsite.
