Got some stupid questions, guess there is a lot of mining in your area, the timbers on top of the mine entrance for rock slide protection and the ducts for mine ventilation? Great pictures!

Yulp u are exactly right we have alot of Mines and old abandoned Mines the fans and tunnels are abandoned

Great pictures. We rode Rockhouse and Devil's Anse over the weekend. Where is that mine? I have the outlaw trails on a GPS, but I've never been to that mine.

Great pictures. We rode Rockhouse and Devil's Anse over the weekend. Where is that mine? I have the outlaw trails on a GPS, but I've never been to that mine.

The name has slipped my mind but its right at outlaw off haul road the fans are above the horses

Thanks. I meant what town is Haul Road off of for that mine. You mentioned above its the Outlaw trial off of Haul Road. So if I can find Haul Rd, I'm sure I can figure it out.

What map system are you running? I'm using bob t and backcountry navi it shows the haul road. also beware we have heard talk that if caught on haul road they are trying to inforce a 2000 dollar fine if caught big key word there "if"

Wow, didn't know about that fine. What is the reason is that an active mine area? If so we'll stay out of that. I have Lifetime trail maps on a Samsung, I have Bob'Ts on my iPhone. But I'm not techy enough to find a road on it!! I'd just Google map it and then cross reference. Unfortunately we didn't get down to that section of HMT this year. We go to Mullens every year in May and ride a bunch. But Covid killed that trip. We ended up going right over the line into VA, and rode some of the Spearhead Pocahontas, but honestly we spent most of our time in WV on the outlaws and rode some of Warrior trail. We are heading to Gilbert again Nov 6-7-8. But I barely need a map for Rockhouse, kind of like you probably barely need a map for your area. But let me know the nearest town to Haul Rd and I'll at least take a look at that area. Thanks for the info. We'll get down your way May of next year and maybe we can get together for a ride.

We decided to go on couple benefit rides in Randolph County area . couple are great rides couple i will not do again but . Pickens has a big ride every spring well worth going to. Gotta couple videos that are to large to upload of abandoned rail lines and tunnels around coalton, they where alot of fun

Nice pictures. We have been riding Spearhead trail system in Virginia and are now in Bluefield going to ride Pocahontas trails tomorrow.

Gotta couple videos that are to large to upload of abandoned rail lines and tunnels around coalton, they where alot of fun

Good pics, we rode Bear Wallow on Friday 83 miles, Devils Anse and some of Rockhouse on Saturday 98 miles. On Friday taking an outlaw trail down to a loop we had to clear a tree. I carry a battery powered chain saw for times like this. It was in the 70's over the weekend, what great weather for November!
