might I suggest removing the shackles or putting a bungee between them, I have the same ones and the shackles will drive you mad rattling.
I usually only have one shackle in now, and the winch hook in it with some tension in the line.

I was going to try some rubber washers on each side of the eye and if that don’t work I’ll remove them or do the bungee thing.

Got my new runva 4500 winch today so that goes in tomorrow.now if my brake pads would get here I could actually go for a rip. They are squealing bad right now.

The COVID made me do it. Found a spare set of tool holders cleaning the shop. Remembered I really wanted a full size shovel when I got stuck in a snow bank a few weeks ago. The wife asked me if I was going to do anything with some old dining fly remnants she was cleaning up in the yard. 1 hour later.......the perfect place to drape some camo netting over and shoot from the shade. Sets up in less than a minute and snaps off as a unit in about 5 seconds if you have to go check distant targets.

Stowage is stupid simple. Pull support legs, drop frame down and ratchet strap the bottom. Took a couple laps around the meadow to see how secure it was and it could stay on all the time if it needed to. Breaking quarantine to visit town tomorrow to pick up some shooting goodies and some camo net sun cover the brown truck dropped off at the office. Killing prairie dogs in the shade......life is good!

It went on fairly smooth except for the front 4 bolts. I feel the ones they supply are slightly too short. I had to use an adjustable clamp to compress the skid tight enough to the frame for the bolt to be long enough. The front 4 holes were also lightly off, so I had to elongate 2 holes to get the bolt to go in straight. Overall, it was a pretty simple straight forward install. I may drill some more holes in it and may add a few more attachment points in the future. I am going to go with how it came stock for a little and see if I need to do any more work.

Finally had to change my factory brake pads at around 1500 miles after this past weeks trip to Royal Blue. Rears were completely gone and fronts weren't far behind them. Also changed my halogen headlight bulbs to some beam tech led bulbs. Definitely an improvement.
