Had a 2018 F150 Platinum; then a 2019 Limited. Both scraped by "minor" body damage. Seems almost nobody wants to invest in the equipment needed to repair those "military-grade" aluminum bodies and the insurance companies would rather "total" them than (salvage value) pay to repair them.

After owning my little 2007 Chevy Colorado Xtreme for 14 years, and putting over 215k miles on it with virtually zero maintenance, I broke down and ordered a new truck. Like everything else in this country, truck prices are insane and only projected to get worse given rising steel prices.

So, I put down a deposit this morning on a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, 6sp, in Sarge Green (gotta match the p52...). This was looooong overdue.

I can't wait for it to get here. Hopefully it shows up before PTO21.

What's everyone else pulling their Hondas with?

It's a Lamar 5x10 trailer. It has 1 1/2" thick planks which is great to bolt hold downs to them. I have a P500 which fits on that really well.

The dealer was impressed with my fairly new FORD 2019 F-150 Sport with a bullet proof Coyote 5.0 C.I. Engine and 10 speed tranny....but very skeptical of my fairly new $500.00 trailer making the 70 mile trip back to my home. My Pioneer 2000 DeLux 700 crunched into a 5 x 8 single axel utility trailer with 12” wheels, was seemingly and truthfully similar to putting an elephant into an old claw foot bathtub. The back drop gate had to be held up with a couple of ratcheting straps as my calculations for length also were slightly off, but was prepared with straps so heck, no worries. On top of that one tire was obviously low at the time of purchase at the dealer and my sales person kind of shook his head and pointed to a gas station that had an easy access air station. He also gave me his cell # and wished me luck.
Its not always how you get there that matters, as long as you get there and I did get there.

If my P1K5 ever decides to show up at the dealer, I will be picking it up with a 2019 Silerado 2500HD gasser pulling a 7 x 12 trailer. I currently haul a Rubicon, 400ex and a 300ex on the trailer. Pioneer is pretty much going to eat up all that real estate by itself. Gonna have to stand the exes up on end in the truck to haul the boys to the trails.

2019 Ford 250, diesel 6.7 power stroke. Runs and drives great. No issues in the mountains if WV. Pull my Honda 1000-5 on a steel 6.5 x 12’ trailer. Also have a 35’ camper I pull with truck.
