Our tow vehicle is which ever is headed out first my wife or I. One weights in at 40,000 empty and can pull 30,000 12mpg,air brakes and all the safety features of a semi because that's what it is-it's no converted pickup truck,22.5 tires,Allison designed for heavy application not a pickup, brakes that cars don't understand, I cruise in this, most people don't stay up especially with a trailer,up to 7dirtbikes and a quad have been loaded inside so everything but the tall sxs can go directly inside with the 1000 in tow will still get 12mpg,/ the other only weighs 9,000 and can only pull (legally) 18,000 20mpg towing. What's common between them they have well over 300,000 on them and are as dependable as anything new. I hand built both bumper-bumper rebuilt everything but the motor a 12v Cummins (however I did change oil once in both I think)
no computer, electronics, glow plugs...what the hell are those! No catalytic converter-hell they pass emissions and neither have mufflers! You don't have to add def or anything, just fuel.Nothing expensive to fail. Cost of a 350 fm to rebuild (at millions of miles) ugly but dependable and hard working like me. How many trucks have you seen over 300k that are fully trustworthy? 6-in a row makes them go.
