We are from South Texas, but go to Missouri to ride Cloud 9 Ranch. Over spring break we ran into this and thought it was really cool. What is the coolest thing you have found on the trail?

Disclaimer: this pick was taken Spring Break 2021. YOU HAVE NOT TIME TRAVELED BACK TO 1982!!!!

We’ve ran into a pack of wild pigs, a moose once in Colorado and it seems like every time we go on a weekend we run up on women with their pants down peeing on the side of the trail.

Twice I've encountered Cougar once from a distance of around 200 yards and the second I was on my Rincon putt'n along coming up on a corner looked to my right and at the base of a small fur tree there stood a cat. I had my WireHair pointer whom would ride on a platform I installed on the back of the ATV.
I slowly continued around the corner and hopped off the quad with my dog on heal ( he also had his shock collar on since we where hunting grouse).
I was carry my small camera so it with hiked back up where I'd first seen it during which time my dog was on alert he knew somthing wasn't right. I could see print in the dusty dry powdery dirt heading down a gully. It was a calm day with not a lot of wind and we slowly proceeded down the draw. I heard a bit of commotion behind us turned and the cat was tracking us. Probably twenty yards behind us, my dogged barked and spooked it up the ravine.
There like ghosts in the wild and I've spent lots of time hunting and as mentioned seldom see em. It sure was a good memory to picture even though I didn't get a picture.

Well, not the coolest thing, but the most recent thing. I was out riding on some tight trails in heavy woods and brush last week, and suddenly something came (airborne) at high speed out of the brush from about 20 feet away. It flew right over the roof on my side. It was big. Startled the crap out of me. I did not get a good look at it, but I was sure it was big hawk or eagle. I stopped to check out where it came from, and found a nest on the ground with 13 eggs about twice the size of chicken eggs. I realized it had to be turkey eggs. First time I had ever come across a nesting one.

A turkey 14 miles off the road system! May not be that cool to most of you but I live in Alaska! Its considered ferel game and fish and game wants them gone! I'm telling my buddy to shoot and why while he's trying to hold on to my 375 h&h, stay in the wheeler(no belts) and pull his glock 20 while blasting down a broken trail! It was quite the s*** show...and no we didn't get it!🤣🤬🤣

While riding West Virginia outlaw trails we were on what’s called corridor G, which is a 4 lane highway, headed back to camp site running 60+ when a small black bear jumped out of some brush and ran in front of the leader and then doubled back between me and my Amish buddy and jumped the guard rail to head back into the brush.

I've run it into black bear a few times near Crown King. In higher elevations, I've had elk run across the trail not too far ahead. Javelinas are pretty common as well. Once, I saw a mtn lion dart across the trail in the headlights.

Probably the most WTF moment happened several years ago. My brother in law and I were coming back from the Perkinsville area after dark and i saw a bright light in the sky. We thought it was a helicopter spotting us at 1st...but after stopping to see what was going on, it made no noise. We assumed a probing was forthcoming so we hit the main road and came across a truck stopped and observing it as well, so we're weren't that drunk.
After getting home I did some searching. Turns out there was some kind of missile test launch out in california, and there was a bit of a "war of the worlds" event for 911 operators that night.
