PSA - Keep your thumbs out of the steering wheel spokes -

Paul at Fab Rats broke his arm racing in a demolition derby, he caught his thumb in the steering wheel and admits he knew better. I'm constantly working on keeping my thumbs out of the steering wheel spokes but still catch myself on occasion. The Talon's wheel doesn't kick back very often, but when it does, it's a Holy Crap! moment.

I always thought it would break your thumb, but his arm got thrown out the window and it looks like he hit it on the roll bar.

Someone let me know if you can see my two photos, the camera uses heic instead of Jpeg or PNG.

This is good advice. I knew better and still broke my thumb at HMT a few years ago on my P5. Now i got 6 screws and a plate in my thumb 🤦

One lady broke her hand. Been about 7 years so I doubt I can find the info on it.

For me it’s a habit from when I learned how to drive…on a 1954 Allis Wd45 with arm strong steering. It was the first lesson I was taught by my dad. Keep your thumbs outta the spokes of the wheel.
