The Accy.harness gets put in line with the wire to the cigarette lighter. If all your powering is the winch controls you can splice into it yourself, no need for the harness.

Yup, that's what I ended up doing.

Everything seems to be working.

Maybe I'll giver a try this weekend.

Yes. Unless you buy a crap kit. Contractors are included in all winch packages.

Is that for key on power? It should plug into the back of the 12V outlet.
