I have the Warn VRX 45-S, everything is installed and tested, works great. However, As I am locking everything down, I need to decide where to install the external plug port for the wired Warn controller. I haven't seen any mention anywhere, so I am just tossing it out there....what is the best location for this port?

I just tucked mine under the hood it is there if I need it but never use it, the actual in and out switch I mounted under the dash where I can get to it easily that is what I use when I use winch,,,,

I also mounted mine under the hood. It's only there for when my dash rocker won't work.

Installed my first one inside glove box, second time installed a dash switch and port on upper left front fender. This last time only use a dash switch and wireless remote.

I put mine where the second voltmeter/USB would go in my switch panel:

I mounted mine in the glove box on the side just in case that my rocker switch quits working.

I put mine on the little plastic valence below the front bumper. I figured If I needed to winch and see what I was doing it would be nice to be within sight of it. Looks clean and really isn't noticeable.

I mine is mounted in a similar location.

I connect my remote and use my left hand to run the winch for plowing snow while using my right to drive / steer.

much faster than using dash switch only.

That is an idea, however everyone asks if mine is electric, due to this......

It is the plug port for my onboard dual battery charger. But I might just add the winch port there as well.

I mounted mine right in the middle of that little "glove holder" in the lower middle of the dash. I thought about under hood but just didn't want to remove the hood and mess with it while winching and digging and all when stuck.
