P700 Winch install

Just got a winch for my pioneer. I have one red wire and the instructions say connect to ignition key. Where is the easiest place to do that ? I'm scared of having a wiring nightmare.

A lot of us guys used the white and black wire that goes to the accessory port under the dash.

Ya,
Get you one of those wiretaps, I really recommend Posi-Tap if you can find it locally.
Connect it to the white/black wire that runs to the Cig lighter / 12c Accessory port.

i always solder everything on off road stuff, none of the other connections, taps, connectors and things like that last near as long as solder in this environment. soldering stuff is cheap ad easy to do really. leaving the original wire whole is the most important part, wrap the teed wire around it a few times solder and i normally put tape and battery spray over that, that connection will last as long as the oem plugs
