Currently own a 700-4D and I'm very happy with it. I'm keeping it for hunting but have a 1000-5D on order. I have a half windshield on the 700 and it works great for the way we use it. On the 1000, I'm looking at SuperATV's flip down windshield.

Anyone have experience with the flip down and your thoughts. I'm concerned with rattles in the down position.

Thanks

I’d buy the flip up SATV. All windshields that open will make some noise.

Anybody got a SuperATV's flip down windshield?
My buddy has a regular flip down (not from SATV) he don't like it too much. Gets very dirty when flipped down and has scratched the good plenty, not the biggest issue I guess. But it seems lile a pain to open and close often, his is held on with Velcro.
I vote flip up but that's just my 2 cents.
Either way good luck, when you r ready to buy send them a PM here and he'll give you a discount 👍

And.........pics or it didn't happen!!!

I'd like to maximize the air flow during warm weather and minimize airflow during cold weather.
Flip up is the way to go. I've had no winshied, full glass windshield and the flip up windshield. If I lived in a cold climate I would go full glass. Anywhere else it would be half windshield or flip up. The flip down would be too much of a problem having to stop and get out to flip down.

I agree, I just don’t see that flip down windshield holding up well over time.

I had the Honda full that proped up juat above the hood when i had my old P5,Worked well. When it got hot and i wanted more wind, i swaped it out for the half windshield. If i still had it, id opt for the SATV

I had a flip down on my 700, got the same one for the 1000 which I will put on when I get done with other mods. Mine was not from SuperATV, but someone on Ebay out of Utah. They do rattle, the plexiglass can scratch and it takes about 1-2 minutes to fold it down and reattach the velcro straps. I really only need it when elk or deer hunting in the mornings. It does get in the 20's during those hunts, so in the mornings it is nice to keep the wind off. Cheap warmth is all it is for me.

I looked on Ebay but didn't see anything from Utah. If the info is still in your purchase history it would greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the comments guys.

They also make one that is a different polycarbonate and more scratch resistant. I do know that the one I had and bought has to be folded down to transport on the trailer. Not a big deal since I leave it down 95% of the time.

I recently installed an 801 UTV glass windshield with adjustable bottom vents along with a MotoRoof rear screen in back of the front seat to try and eliminate the dust accumulation on both the inside and outside of oem half windshield and gauge panel. One 40 mile ride and I’m sold on the combo. Minimal dust on windshield and the dust just blew off the gauge panel when we stopped half way through the ride. The windshield doesn’t seal against the oem roof so there is a breeze going over the top of your head. Partway through the ride, we got rid of the jackets and opened the bottom vents. Nice not having to wear goggles for once and my glasses didn’t get covered with dust either.

That looks like what I want! There are no photos in the down position. Does it just rest on the hood?
Thanks

It does rest on the hood. I bought the little clear rubber bumpers and stuck them to the hood on the 700-4 to keep it off of the paint. Will do the same to the 1000 when I get it installed.
