I emailed Octane Ridge and said this: I was wondering how you get replacement blades for: Electric UTV Wiper System - For Hard-Coated Windshields? Do you offer a warranty on the windshield if the blade scratches it? Will it still work if there is mud, dirt, snow, or ice on the windshield?
This was there reply: Thank you for your interest in the Electric UTV Wiper System by Octane Ridge. The wiper system uses an 11” automotive wiper blade that can be found at any automotive parts store or online through multiple sources. We do not warranty a customer’s windshield for any reason; the warranty covers manufacturer defects with the wiper arm and blade components and the wiper motor only. If using the wiper blade on a hard-coated windshield, the blade itself should not scratch the surface under normal use. Prior to releasing this product, we tested the wiper on a hard-coated piece of Lexan by running the wiper for multiple hours at a time, over a period of a few days and the wiper never scratched or dulled the hard-coated surface. The thing to keep in mind is this wiper setup is not equal in power or strength to the wiper system that would be installed on an automobile - it does have its limitations. With that being said, if there is a lot of compacted mud, snow or ice on the windshield, it would be best to try and clear away anything that could potentially damage the wiper arm, motor or your windshield.
From what I gather it should work if it's just raining, but you get any crap on there it probably won't work.
