Image Hi all, I'm trying to remove the front bumper so I can install my winch. Running into a problem with the two bolts underneath. I cannot get them loose. Anyone else run into this? Any tips on ideas on how to get then loose is much appreciated.

They're on tight. 10mm wrench. Can't find my ratchet. About to go buy another. The bolts are starting to strip.

You need a 6pt, socket not a 12 pt. for a firmer grip and less likely to slip, may want to heat up the bolts with a LP torch, sometimes that makes all the difference in the world.

Just need to use a ratchet with a pipe on the end to break them loose. If all u have is a wrench... I can see how troubling it may be.

Well what you can do now is drill out the bolt and re- tap the hole to a larger size or install a heli-coil of the OEM diameter and thread pitch.

That's my final plan. Will try some other methods first though. Thank you guys for all the tips! Can't believe this is giving me such a hard time...

ok striped try a vise grip maybe you will get lucky. if not you can use a drimmel tool with a wiz wheel (cutting wheel) and cut a line a cross to make a flat head screw driver slot and use a big flat head with a combo wrench for torque. after that weld a bolt and if that doesn't work then drill and tap.
