Has anyone installed the HighLifter lift kit?
I tried to order it last night, but there were issues with their website.

I've added so much junk I've lost ground clearance, I'm down to @12" with the Strongmade 2.5" kit and 28" tires. I was thinking about adding the HighLifter Kit to the top of the shocks and keep the Strongmade kit on the bottom.

The HighLifter kit is adjustable 1-3" so hopefully I could get back to @14" GC.

That's the lift I've got. It's set on the 2" setting and running 28" tires. It looks to be very strong and I've got zero complaints. I also like knowing that I've got the ability to adjust if needed.

If you weren't an hour and a half away i'd say buy it and come use the lift to make the installation easier. I'm not sure if it's worth the drive for you. But I'm always willing to assist.

Thanks Joe,
I think we've got the same tires now, my concern is if mixing the two lifts will be sturdy enough to be safe. I'v looked at the install instructions and I worry about front to back movement. That's why I was asking about the lift. The Strongmade has not moved that I can tell.

The HighLifter might let me offset the Strongmade's nature of softening the suspension. But changing the shock angle might introduce a whole new host of problems. As well as will the HighLift even lift if the strong made is on? It doesn't seem to drop the shock lower but move it out.

After a discussion with someone smarter than me. I've considered how to reposition the shock directly over the factory mounting location but without modding the a-arms. I am not sure how to make it work safely.

I might try to make an upper bracket that drops the shock 2" I'm guessing that would give a 4" lift?

Evidently I'm not as smart as others either. I can't help much answering those questions. But it can take pics of my lift as is installed and that may help. Let me know.

Just in case you'd like to know. It's 13 1/4" clearance under the skid plate and that's not on the highest setting. And yes it does stiffen the suspension a little but that was welcomed by me as I'm usually carrying a load.

Edit. Tire pressure is 5 in the front and 7 in the rear.

I adjusted the lift to the 3" setting. It actually added a little over an inch compared to the photo above. I did bounce it and roll it back and forth to try to settle it. Check the new photo below.

I'll ride around for a week or so and see how i like it. I did loose about 1/4" track width though. Probably not enough to make a difference.

The shaft angles don't look too bad but I wouldn't want to go anymore than this.

BTW, the coil adjustment is at the softest/lowest setting. I could raise it and probably get 15" in the rear. Especially if I increased psi up to 10 or so.

Going 4" seems like it would start to damage the shafts or something. If your doing some rough trail riding. But they are not very high can just buy new ones axles. I think it would last awhile before it became damaged too.

How is that lift with the front shocks being moved so much. They really look too straight. Just wondering how much it changed the ride and how it handles slopes. Don't know if I want the strong made or highlifter. I know the strong made doesn't lift much in the front and that's the only reason I don't like it. How much does the strong made lift in front like 1.5-2"

Highlifter and EPI (HL knockoff) push the top out.
Strongmade pushes the bottom in and you only get about 2" on the front.

I think the HL stiffens the shocks all the way around. That's good news for me since I've added a battery, winch, etc which weighs it down.

Ok that would probably be a good thing i do haul a good bit when working at my club. Has it changed the tipsiness any riding on slopes uneven ground ruts. I'm just wondering how much did it change with moving the shocks out like that.

The only experience that I have is riding my friends in comparison. I don't think it is changed any. But I also added 1" wheel spacers at the same tine

I put the HL on before mile 5. My friend had a 2015 P4 also so it's a fair comparison.

I installed the commander 800/1000 XT shocks and have 14 1/2" rear and 14 3/4" front. They are on the lowest settings and I have a toolbox in the bed. It's a huge difference in ride quality, cheaper than aftermarket shocks and not much more than buyin an aftermarket lift kit. The front was at 15 3/4 when first installed and the rear was even taller. [HASHTAG]#Green02crew[/HASHTAG] needs all the credit for the parts interchange and information.
