I am the first to admit that I'm not babying my Pioneer but I'm still disappointed with this lift kit. I should have known that the upper shock lift kit had too much leverage on the original OEM mount. My OEM shock mount is tearing from the frame! And, that's just part of the problem. With the shock positioned vertical, it limits the travel and bottoms out easier. It's probably the bottoming out that sends the impact strong enough to damage the OEM shock mount.

I hope this isn't everyone's experience but I still wanted to warn you guys. Here are some pics....

Here is the driver side shock. It's not bent too bad. You can still see the top of it.

Here is the passenger side. It's pushed up farther.

Here is the pic of the shock lift mount. It provides too much leverage.

@joeymt33 Man I hate to see that, not good pulling on the frame tabs that way. Is that lift kit separate pieces at each corner? or is it a solid cross member going all the way across. From what little I can see it appears to be separate brackets, if so not too shocked that bottoming out caused that to bend up.

Separate pieces. I'm not a happy camper.

I've talked to a friend about it and I will soon be making a lift kit similar to the StrongMade but more lift than the StrongMade. I just can't seem to find enough time lately with all the work travel to fix this.

Wish I would have seen this earlier lol... I just installed mine last week. I only have it on the middle setting so it shouldn't be as much stress on it but I will definitely be keeping an eye on it!

I just measured the fender height right vs left and the right side or passenger side is a full inch lower!

Thats not good. I never liked that lift my self. The strong made takes a different approach but its not very big of a lift. The taller redesign ohanacreek did turned out fairly good providing maximum lift keeping the shocks at the factory angle. I'll find the link in a second.
I hope you are able to repair it fairly easily.
Got to pay to play!
