What is the best size for trailer / a 5'x8 or 6'x10'?

Welcome to our community.
You should get the 6ft.
cause if you ever buy bigger tires you will be more then 5ft wide.
It would suck to have to buy a new trailer after u spent 400+ on new tires.

I purchased a 6.5x12 ....as long and wide as the Pioneer is, depending on where the trailer axel(s) are positioned you may need to push the vehicle back to get the right amount of tongue weight.

I had to reposition mine before I left the dealer, and center the rear footwell over the axel.

I took some pictures Sunday after Riding it on our hunting land, I attached the pics of it on the trailer that gave me the best balance over the axel to give me enough tongue weight, as well as tie down points. I used front points further in the frame that gave me a better angle to prevent shifting forward and back.

You might be able to squeeze it on some 5x8's ( ask me in a few weeks ), but realistically, a 5.5 X 10 or bigger would be a nice size.

I have a 6x16 single axle and a 7x20 tandem axle.
Ya never know when you need extra room!

I am using a 6 x 12' 8" similar to the one posted above. I find the positioning the same for towing, always good to have a little extra space,

I have a single axel Aluma trailer that is 62" wide and 120" long. Has a box on the tongue for storage and a torsion bar suspension. Hope the 700-4 balances on the trailer. I think it will be "just right".....and easy to get around with.

(Also have a car trailer.....as a back-up plan. ;) )

Tried to use my 5X8, but it just will not make it. Traded for a 6.5X10...its the perfect size with larger tires.

What about a 6 x 8ft trailer? Would that be big enough for Pioneer-2.

8 ft is too short. I believe the SxS-2 is 114.8" long.

The 2 and 4 are the same fyi and yes it is 114 but its wheelbase is like 76 so it would fit so long as you had a trailer that tilts or uses ramps and not a gate

Hoosier, 4wheelin.
Welcome to the HondaSxS community.

About that 5x8 trailer.
First - We do not recommend a 5x8 trailer as it is too small to fully fit the Pioneer.

But if it is a flat top trailer it may work.
However you must have a high level of understanding on how to strap it down correctly.
The Pioneer wheel base is 77 inches from wheel center to wheel center.
Need 15-20 more inches for good grip. Thats right at 8ft.
So, The Pioneer will sit on top of a 5x8 table top.
Add a dozen straps and you are set.

Good luck.

I Tried To Use My 5X12 Trailer And It Was Not Wide Enough, It Just Would Not Squeeze On There I Think I Am Going To Go With A 7X14. Sorry For Every Word Starting In Caps My Phone Has Decided This Is How We Are Going To Play It, Not Really Sure Why.If It Keeps It Up I Think I Might Use It For Wheel Chalk ON my New Trailer...

Tommorow I'm picking up my 700-4....and putting it on an aluminum trailer bed that measures 5'2" x 10'. I happen to already own this trailer.....owned it for 14 years......and it's the minimum. I'll take some pictures. Exciting stuff. :D

Here is my new Pioneer loaded on a 5'2" x 10 foot trailer bed. I do wish I had taken the side kit off (forgot). Fits perfectly. Extra room for length.

Nice foggy,
Already got it decked out with a windshield and top. Now get some mud on it and it will be looking good. Lol
