Yup.. broke two 1/2” grade 8 bolts before the catastrophic failure.. but the tie rod and steering rack held up very well!

Looks like you guys really did have a epic trip!!! If/when you guys make it back to Moab please let me know!! In short notice I could make a weekend trip. My pioneer is getting pretty close to going under the knife for the winter but late February I'll be ready to rock. Wish I would of called in sick and rode with you guys for at least a day. My next trip is October 17-20 to Moab. Pics are from Steelbender. Didn't quite have enough gearing to make it up without hammering down and this is the result.. I did end up making it up the second round . IGR and a real cage this winter are my priorities. Hope to see you guys again next season.

Most certainly!! I’d like to get a group overland together next year. Maybe a combo family ride and a day or two guys overland trip? I need to get the kids out!

Lol.. I see the second set of ledges there got ya. I was in the same boat without the flip. It just powered out before it makes it. It truly infuriates me!! Working on fixing that though...

Finally made it home... showered and relaxing on the couch fixing to watch the last episode of Yellowstone. We left at 8pm yesterday night and drove straight through... @Kilo427 drove the whole way to his house. I think he’s scared of my driving speeds.

Broke my ankle in two places and they are displaced. Need screws to put it back together. Also tore my Achilles’ tendon at the same time. Have to have surgery to re attach it. Doing it all Tuesday.

Oh man, I feel your pain. Been dealing with a similar deal with my daughter for the past 2 months. Had 2 surgeries already from wreck that crushed the tibia where it connects to ankle. 3 plates and 18 screws, finally got in a 'boot', without putting weight on it ...... months to go. Dr says it will probably be a life long problem. Hope you have better results.
