P1000 100 mile service DIY or pay??

Ive read the pinned stuff and realize the oil and filters seems very easy. My concern is with the valve adjustment. Are people finding they need to be adjusted? Or should I not worry about it. I really would rather have the dealer do something like that just incase I need to point the finger at any issues down the road LOL

Haven't adjusted my valves as they seem to be just fine.

My experience with Hondas is they rarely need adjusting. I don't adjust crap until I hear them talking to me. I adjusted my foreman bout a month ago. It's got around 350 hours on it. Was rattling pretty good. I see your point about the finger pointing though.

I am very capable of doing all those things but I took it in for the 1st service just so I could-be sure of where the finger was getting pointed.

I was going to change the oil myself but when I priced the oil and supplies on Amazon and the $59.95 oil change and multi point inspection my dealer was offering, it was a no brainer. It was actually cheaper to go through the dealer. I didn't have the valves adjusted. Everything I read says no need if they aren't clattering.

My dealer told me there was no need to bring it in for the first service. They said the valves shouldn't need checked until the 2nd or 3rd service.
