They can be a life saving when overheating from radiator being full of mud. I have a similar one in my P1K

Yep, keep one in storage in the rear door of P1K5. Creek crossing are pretty common where we ride.

We used the water from my cooler for @BigOL3 when he started to overheat on a long climb in TN. Without the sprayer we would probably have been sitting there an extra 20-30 minutes waiting for it to cool. I've also used mine to wash my filthy ass after getting muddy.

I carry two wide mouth Costco peanut jars under the P500 seat 24/7 and have a water brick if I ever go again on a long adventure like a Takeover ride. Good for camping.
