We have found a 2016 Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe for sale from an individual local to here. My concern after reading these threads is that the original owner has only put 96 miles on it BUT they’ve not had the recall work completed on it. If I purchase this machine, would the recalls still be covered with it being a 2026 model? Local dealerships are closed on Mondays and this seller has priced it at 14k because they don’t use it. Don’t want to lose our but also don’t want to buy and have tons of $$$ in costly repairs. Any opinions would be appreciated.

All three recalls are available until all units have been completed.

The only 2 things you wont be able to get covered anymore are the clutch update and heat update. Parts are still avaliable but Honda won't pay for it any longer.

I wouldn't worry about the heat up date, it didn't work anyways. I bought the Trigger Shield from a vendor here. Quick UTV Shield, it works, got to give it a real test this week end, all day rides in 70 + temps, passenger never complained. Best $ 100.00 spent for the seat heat situation.

The clutch update is going to be necessary and out of pocket, but shouldn't be too bad.

Doesn't he also need the new air intake in the front to avoid CP'ing his machine?

Well, paid a deposit on it today. Called Honda directly since no dealerships are open today. Honda said all 4 of the recalls would be covered 100% but none were related to transmission and/or clutch. I read over the recalls and never seen anything mentioning the clutch that many of you referenced. Could this maybe not be applicable to the machine I’m buying ? Maybe I’m missing something ? Sorry new to this.

Clutch wasn’t a “recall” it was a product improvement campaign (or some such wording). Recalls are pretty much forever (until every vin covered in it is fixed or destroyed) and the latter are for however long Honda chose to offer it out of the kindness of their heart.

I bought a 2016 like yours last year. Absolutely love it. Mine had 1k miles. I did not check on factory recalls. I love the machine.
