I’ve been there 3 times... 4 if you want to count leaving and returning. If you’d have gone you’d know just how awesome it is. There’s a reason it’s the Mecca of the off-road world! You didn't know jack s*** about moab until you went there and now you act like it's the only good riding on earth.

While that may be true... I’m just saying there are places with plenty of adequately technical trails just a bit further west. If folks are driving 2 days one way and and taking a week or better off work and expecting technical trails... I KNOW they can find that in Moab!Hes not really going to either place he just likes to be a dick.

Actually, Moab and Taylor Park are both great but I go to Taylor park more even though its 162 miles from my house and Moab is only 118 so I have to make the sacrifice of driving an extra 44 miles. You didn't know jack s*** about moab until you went there and now you act like it's the only good riding on earth.

And would you mind explaining why? I’m sure Taylor park is great for scenic riding... but I don’t want people making the trip with the wrong expectations of trails.Actually, Moab and Taylor Park are both great but I go to Taylor park more even though its 162 miles from my house and Moab is only 118 so I have to make the sacrifice of driving an extra 44 miles.
Good Point, Moab is scenic but it does allow for more technical riding especially if you get up toward the Fisher Valley area, but I like Taylor for the scenery and trust me, it will never be too warm. You will see what I mean when you are there in September. And would you mind explaining why? I don't know that I’ll be able to make a September ride.. Hence, Moab in June.Good Point, Moab is scenic but it does allow for more technical riding especially if you get up toward the Fisher Valley area, but I like Taylor for the scenery and trust me, it will never be too warm. The first time you just drove by so that doesn't count either.I’ve been there 3 times... 4 if you want to count leaving and returning. If you’d have gone you’d know just how awesome it is. There’s a reason it’s the Mecca of the off-road world!
I understand but I like the views of Colorado better. While that may be true... I’m just saying there are places with plenty of adequately technical trails just a bit further west. We rode two days there... left for 5 and came back. I think Colorado would be a cool overland ride. The first time you just drove by so that doesn't count either.

Just going to have to keep the rides scheduled and do both. To some people the scenery at Moab is very inspiring. Certainly there’s value in riding both and nobody can make every ride. But I’m sure there will be future rides scheduled at both places. We rode two days there... left for 5 and came back. I think Colorado would be a cool overland ride.
There’s been plenty of pictures posted in this thread along the trail that give an idea of trail conditions and Alan posted a specific rating chart. There’s really no reason for anyone to have a false impression of what riding will be like up there, and hell, there’s endless go pro videos and forums on line for people to look at for very detailed information and visuals of what those trails are like. Looks like this summer a guy could hit trail rides in Idaho, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico lol. Too many rides, too little times. And would you mind explaining why? I’m sure Taylor park is great for scenic riding... but I don’t want people making the trip with the wrong expectations of trails.
