I just got back to OKC tonite.... and haven’t had WiFi to keep up.....
It is a shame that about the only place to test some off these overheating issues mean another trip to Colorado.....
I will order the switch and am planning on draining my system since I probably am only running about twenty percent antifreeze I added so much water.....
We did the Timcup/Hancock loop from St Elmo side and had no heating problems...... it is only on the long drags like Antero and Princeton that it shows up....I am running stock everything and do agree that power requires a little momentum to get over things at altitudes.....doesn’t have a clutch so you can rev up and then get power.... I don’t worry about that as much as the overheating..... some of those climbs really can’t be done low and slow....
I don’t think it is a fan problem.... it just is too marginal a system to keep cooling when in a strain......
Amazing how quickly just a squirt of water brings it down....
I think my windshield washer idea may still be the best fix if Honda doesn’t have one......
It never was over sixty degrees this week and a lot of the time on Antero was low fifties and blowing hard....
It certainly takes the fun out when you are constantly having to stop and spray .... if everyone has P1K then it is okay.... we can do it together..... but when the wolvies and a Jon Deere gator are stopping to wait it is a little embarrassing....
