This is my 3rd P500 but 1st one with Automatic option , shifting is really rough especially 4th and 5th I mean really rough ! does this get better or do I need to take it back to the dealer ? Thanks

I'm 150 miles in, it still shifts hard occasionally but its wearing in. The more I drive it the better/quieter it gets.

One thing I've found is to hold the paddle until the shift is complete and then release that seems to help.

I got mine last August and thought the same thing. Mine is smooth now. 1st thru 3rd smoothed out quicker than 4th and 5th for me because I don't use as much. I actually didn't use auto for a long time because of the noise it made shifting. Just now started using it again and was surprised how much better it was. I got about 450 miles on it now.

I wish they would just DCT the 500, the 2020 DCT atvs are almost as smooth as the old hydrostatic Rubicons. It makes no sense why the DCT hasn't been put in 500.

I imagine it's costs them a pretty penny to do that and this is suppose to be an entry level SxS, but then again it might come out in the 2021 models if they get rid of all the single clutches.
