I've mentioned it several times, but "Wayney jack" participated in 2 Peterson's 4 Wheel & Off Road's Ultimate Adventure treks. 2016 and 2017, I think. The videos are out there. Turns out the 500 didn't get a bed for a reason, I guess.

Down sizing the Talon to a 700 or 520 would be cool surprise....

Talon with Fox live valve.
Properly sprung (more plush / actually use some of the suspension range to get some comfort).
Stock rear fender liners to cover it's arse properly.
Tighter turn radius box on R model.

Only problem with the 700 is the transmission holds back so much potential I love my pioneer 700 but if it had low range it be one hell of a bike

Honda hasn't had a OHC engine utility ATV since the Foutrax 300, except for the rincon. And it's not truly OHC, since it sits under the head.

The lack of a timing chain/tensioner that goes bad is a plus I think. I don't believe I've ever replaced a timing chain or tensioner on a cam in block engine. Unless I was in the bottom end already and just covering my bases.

The Rincon is known for bad tensioners and replacing a chain can be a hunk of change.

Honda has had troubles with tensioners since at least mid to late 80s (pos hydraulic tensioner in 1000f prime example). All my buddies that dragraced bought manual tensioners first thing. Chopping that throttle closed at redlines kills them.
