Hope this helps with some of you wondering how to do a dual battery on the pioneer 700-4 deluxe. Here are some pics of how I did it.

I’ve decided I’m not going to mess with a dual battery and just do a larger battery. Ordered the Odyssey PC925L AGM battery from Autozone and building custom brackets for mounting up front. It’s over twice the Ah of original battery and 330 CCA. Battery up front also makes more sense to me for wiring accessories as well. This one is fairly compact so it should fit nicely. Next step up is the Odyssey PC1200L with 540 CCA but I think that would get a little cramped up front under the hood. Could be done tho.

Mounted my auxiliary battery under the seat too. I just used a surplus battery tray from my race car. Ran the cables up to under the hood. Used a kitchen plastic cutting board as an electrical board for a marine breaker module, buss bars, relays, remote charging posts & switch panel control box. Also mounted the pistol grip winch controller receptacle.

i ran the roof light bar wire, rear flood light & switch panel cable up the roll bar tube, drilled an exit hole at the crossbar junction facilitating a complete disappearance of all the wires. My roof mount light bar is hanging under the roof cover suspended by the crossbar. The switch panel is also attached to the crossbar keeping both units completely out of the weather. A headlamp elastic band wrapped around the crossbar makes a great Dome Light.

it has all worked out well thus far.

Metal ammo box can should be plenty, and I know it will fit under seat. Have had mine in both places and prefer under seat
