The 2023 Honda Pioneer 1000-6 Crew brings many improvements to Honda's flagship line. Here we will list the top 10 things you need to know about the new Crew model.
#1 - Room for 6
The crew offers best-in-class second-row passenger space with 28 inches of knee room. The center seat is staggered to maximize shoulder space for rider comfort. Ingress and egress are easy and simple with the full-size doors.
#2 - Increased frame and chassis strength
Critical locations on the frame have been supported nearly three times to account for bending resistance. The roll bar and other frame parts are thicker and stronger than the 3/5 seaters. The frame is also a 1-piece unit fully dipped to increase longevity vs paint.
#3 - 2500 pounds of towing.
Honda has increased the towing capacity from 2000 pounds to 2500 pounds. This provides more capability to get the job done. The bed can also handle 1000 pounds of gear, maximizing hauling to and from the job site.
#4 - EPS updates
The EPS system features 50% more torque assist than prior models. Honda also beefed up the steering rack to handle the crew along with new and improved tie rods/ends, starting with the 2022 MY Pioneer 1000s. It also has a return-to-center function that is helpful out on the trail and when turning.
#5 - Tons of storage space.
The new Crew has front and rear under-seat storage. Perfect for tools and other supplies. It also has under-the-dash storage for easy-to-access things. The front under-seat storage can easily be accessed without removing the seat. Perfect for tools, supplies, cooler, and other items.
#6 - In-bed 12v accessory outlet.
An included 12v power supply in the bed allows user to power accessories, electric coolers, air compressors, and more items directly from the bed of the machine.
#7 - Updated front a-arm mounts.
Starting with the 2022 MY, Honda redesigned the front upper arms for more durability and strength. This carried over to the new Crew and is a welcomed addition.
#8 - Tow/Haul mode.
This function optimizes gear changes, allowing each gear to hold longer to maximize pulling power. It also works in both High and Low.
#9 - New upgraded display
Starting MY 2022, Honda upgraded the display to a new design. This new modernized meter features a clutch indicator, battery voltage & CAN communication.
#10 - New Grille with improved cooling.
The new grill helps with airflow paired with a new larger fan starting MY 2022. The radiator coolant flow has also been reversed to improve cooling effectiveness.
