These Sedona Ripsaws that I have on the P500 have got to go. Way too heavy and the ride sucks. Traction isn't much better. I'm thinking about going with Bighorn's in 26x9x12 front and 26x11x12 rear. Will I have any clearance problems running this size on the stock wheels since they have less offset than aftermarket wheels? Probably a dumb question but it won't be the first one I've asked. :) Thanks in advance.

The Ripsaws are 25x8x12 and 25x10x12 but they barely measure 24"

Wow, I knew the bighorns were light but not by that much. Or is it just he Rip's are heavy.
I run BH's on my P7, It marks the 3rd set I have ran on different machines so far. I love them. I think they would make for a great tire on a P5.
Run them about 8-10 psi and you want be-leave how smooth they are. Oh, and yes, Stick to the factory wheels if you want keep to 50 or want less of a oversplash.

RipSaws - lbs
26x9x12 - 32.60
26x11x12 - 38.40

25x8x12 - 26.90
25x10x12 - 31.70
-------------------
BigHorn 1's- lbs, BH 2's are even lighter, so they claim.
26x9x12 - 22.9
26x12x12 - 30

25x8x12 - 21.4
25x10x12 - 26.0

You'll have no problem, I have the exact same 26" Bighorns on 12" aftermarket rims and no problems with clearance on my P7. I have a 2.5" lift kit (I won in a contest on this site) that I plan to install and go to 27" or 28" RIms for tooling around Moab this spring. The Bighorns 26" tires on 12" rims are a great combination!

Thanks for the replies! I switched out the Ripsaws for 26" Bighorn 2.0's. They added 2" in height and weigh right at 24lbs less than the 25" Ripsaws. The Ripsaws might work well somewhere but not here. The difference is night and day. The ride is so much better and I'm going places in 2wd that required 4wd before the switch. I have over 8000 miles on a set of original Bighorns on my old Rancher. Hopefully the 2.0's will wear well too. I'm very pleased with the switch. Here are some pics.

The Bighorn II 's lugs are not as deep or wide as the original Big Horn's, still a good tire but don't expect to get as many miles out of them.

Thanks. They are the factory wheels. The BH2's were $470 something. Can't remember the exact amount. By far the best money I've spent on the P500.

Looks great. What a difference with those tires even on the stock wheels. How's it pull those tires?

It pulls the 26" BH2's just fine. Excellent traction, smooth ride. Better traction in snow than original BH's in my opinion.

Really like this setup on the other wheels. Do you know what your width is with this setup? Still 50” ? Thanks

I have Ripsaws but 25's and I aam totally happy with them. They do the job except in deep sands then they are trenchers. but we don't have much sand.

If you want to stay at 50", stick with the stock tire height. Going higher and staying skinny isn't recommended, it'll be a puckerfest on the trail.

What is affected by installing oversize tires? Speedometer? Odometer? Top speed? Low end power?
