Been searching and calling manufacturers who decline to state their rear 2" receivers will fit on a 2025 Pioneer 520. Has anyone confirmed compatibility with either the Moose Utility part 4504-0146 or the CMP part 1195CMP ? Or is there another supplier I'm missing?

IMHO, a necessary accessory to haul stump grinder, utility trailer, etc around the property.

I installed the Moose 2" receiver hitch part #4504-0146 on my 2022 Honda P520. At the time, their web site did not list the 2022 model as fitting (their description stopped at an earlier year. Now I can't find any model years listed on their web site.) A message sent through their website got me a response a couple of days later confirming that it would fit. I'd suggest send a message asking about the 2025 models. I suspect they will fit, but always nice to know before you order.

I did have to make a couple of tweaks to get the holes to line up. Apparently, I'm not the only one who had that issue. You can find details and some pictures in this thread: Moose 2" Install

The P5** frame has not changed at that spot.
The Moose hitch has not changed (pretty darn sure). But their tolerances seem to vary a scosh, or Honda’s do.

Wow, seems like no one wants to take my money for a 2" receiver. Can't find part 4504-0146 anywhere, just a couple ebay sellers listing Pioneer 2015-2022 compatibility with moose part 4504-0332 which is not listed on the Moose website as a part number. I have a FB message in to Moose as their contact form on their website is not working.

Moose 4504-0332 fits perfectly on my 2025 Pioneer 520 with no adjustments! The Moose 2" Install was awesome. Only wrinkle was the kit did not have the lower spacers needed to properly align the hitch, but stacks of washers do the trick, and I feel justified in keeping my bunches of old hardware around :) Quick and easy mod and I put this on the receiver: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BMZ3PXD?tag=sxsweb24-20 . Thanks all

@Speare , looks good man but you've posted the same thing 11 times. I don't think you meant to do that? Duplicate posts sometimes happen if you have a bad connection or something but these are at all different times of the day. Not a problem to clean them up again but wanted you to know.

What are you thinking of pulling that requires a 2" receiver that couldn't be pulled with a 1 1/4" to 2" adapter?

P5 and Toad

Off roading with this thing loaded canopy, chairs, table, grill, cooler... pretty heavy and weird angles would do a number on a 1 1/4".

I don't like the adapters. It moves the ball further back. The tongue weight is limited on these to start with, and making that lever arm even longer would limit it still further.

I have just about every insert imaginable for a 2" receiver. I have none for a 1 1/4"

I also just can't stand the 1 1/4" receivers. If I don't grease or never-seize them, the inserts always seem to get rusted in place. If I do, the grease seems to get on everything. I've never had that problem with a 2" receiver getting frozen in place

I understand what you are saying.
My comment was reflecting on the capability of the 520 itself, not that of the hitch.
The 520 can pull (according to specs) 1000#.
That is the capability of the machine, not the receiver.
A larger receiver won't increase that capacity.
As far as the 1'1/4" getting frozen in place....I have not experienced that.
I'm actually trying to work on a receiver mounted attachment for other devices, a carrier, a rear grading blade etc. that would mount in the receiver and the two frame rails to the left and right of the receiver for additional strength and stability.
I'm trying to design a rake using an actuator to help with lawn grooming.
For now it's just a pile of scribbles on paper.

yeah, I was in no way attempting to increase the capacity. I bought the 520 for smaller, quick jobs and access to the work sites in my forest when the ground is not in condition to support heavier equipment. I have a tractor with a logging winch, grapple, belly pan, brush guards, limb risers, and a self-loading forwarding trailer for that sort of work. (Even the tractor is a bit on the small side for some of what I do, but it's been hard to justify a bigger one.)

All of my vehicles have 2" receivers. (The tractor via a 3 Pt hitch attachment, though it's not used much.) Our first minivan had a factory installed 1 1/4" receiver. When the insert rusted in place, I vowed "never again". All subsequent vehicles have had a 2" receiver. If there was not a factory option, I had n aftermarket one installed. Frozen 1 1/4" receivers are not uncommon here - I've helped several people get theirs unstuck (and failed to get others unstuck.) Probably related to the amount of salt (and in some municipalities, brine) used on the roads in the Winter in this area.

Reasons for Moose 2”= 25% compatible with your other 2” stuff, 75% frame strengthening while putting the hitch at reasonable height for hitching up to whatever ,especially swamped in the willywags……..

The omly thing I use my hitch for it to tow my utility empty trailer. I like how it puts the ball farther back.
