Need more room thinking of coming back to the 700-4 from my 500.. question is do the paddle shifters make a difference in power.. I have a 500 run 28” BKT’s no problem.. I had 16 P700 without paddle shifters won’t go back to not having shifters... I was just wondering of the manual 700 keeps more low end power or if I just need to move on up to the 1000... thanks for any input

I’m assuming power is the same. Paddle shifters are just an override, and not truly a manual transmission. You can lock into manual mode with a switch, but I would be surprised if it made any difference in power.

In my experience, where the 700 ends up sucking wind is in 1st gear, so the paddles do nothing for that. I would never complain if the thing couldn't pull 2nd up a hill or whatever. I wouldn't expect that.
If big tires are what you want, keep the 500 or get the 1000.

Get the 1000, I have both a 700-4 and a 1000-5 when 4 adults get in the 700 hills make me nervous, but fully loaded and the 1000 have not met one that it could not handle.

Best advice is to move up to 1000 the 700 isn't a bad utv but the 3 speed on the 4 seater at 1500lb just doesn't work for me haven't found anyone that bought one that didn't trade in a year

And there you have it from previous P7 owners? And they don't do high altitudes very well.
