I have 80" of clearance where I'm going to store the 700. The 700-4 spec sheet says the height is 78.3". My question is where is the highest point measured from. I'm guessing it's from the rear of the passenger roll bar. I ordered the hard top that covers only the drivers compartment. I'm hoping it fits, I can always lose the rear cage to help make it fit. I was surprised to see that the 1000 is about 2" lower than the 700.

Not sure about the p-4 but on my p-2 the hard top adds about 3+ inches. In a worst case scenerio I guess you could remove the roof for storage. Other people have let air out of their tires or even ratcheted down the suspension to get their rigs into their garages!

700-P4 almost 84" tall at the back edge of factory roof. Had to modify garage door opening to get it in.

LOL I can drive in to my garage, it just barley rubs but to back out i have to get out and pull down and back on the rops to get it to clear. I ended up adding two doors to my shed to fit it in side

My shop door is 10' so no problem. But... I was looking and I could raise the door about 6" and it would still reach the ground when closed.

Might look at that.

Well, I got it in the garage. I had to unhook the garage door from the opener, remove the opener bracket from the door, and use a 2x4 to prop the door open past the door frame. I also had to take the hard top off the 700. I think it would have made it in the door with the roof, but it would have hit the rubber weather seal on the garage door frame. I think I can move the mounting brackets on the back of the roof higher, which would put it tighter to the roll bar, and lower the roof an inch or so. This would also require me to cut a little bit of the roof. If it doesn't look like that will work, I will sell it and go with a soft top.

Sounds like a pain. I think Tflynn has been working on a lowered cage. Maybe he will share his design.

I had to let some air out of the back tires and put some block in the back just to get it in my garage.
Why not just racket down the front end, you can get two to three inches on stock suspension.

Well... I just found out the hard way. I can barely, slowly back in my garage with my 700-4. But after using my new snow plow, decided to back in like usual, wouldn't fit.

The weight of the plow caused a big crunch sound as I cracked the wood frame with my taller rear height. I didnt think about that. So, after fixing the door frame, I lowered the plow to the ground and backed in, tight and touches but doesn't damage anything.

Great idea. Just way to much liability, already thought of it. Maybe sell plans for someone to do it them selves ?? Hmmm.

Hmmmmm.

Might need a disclaimer.

Lowering the roll cage could cause brain damage, cancer or death.
