I'm looking at a 700-4 for sale, and have a question. Does the full hard roof project or reflect more sound from the engine and make the cab louder than the soft top does?

I don't know about engine noise reflection, but I have had both and can tell you that the hard top is one annoying, squeaky, muthertrucker.

It makes it louder, but the hard roof will move trees up and out of the way. Its on all winter and as soon as it warms up it comes off for the summer.

Soft tops are for hard heads, hard tops protect better.

I'm new.

I have about 3 hours and 20 miles on my 700-4.

I don't see it as "loud" at all. I'm comparing this coming from a Honda 420 ATV.

Honestly, I don't see how this could be considered as "loud" at all...

Do you have to take it off while trailering, most people that have them have to?

I had the dealer install mine when I bought it new and after a few weeks I thought I would take it off to see how it rode without it. It's definitely quieter without it but I put it back on and haven't taken it back off since. As far as taking it off for trailering, always left it on and never had a problem. My honda two piece windshield and top are tried and true at 75mph for 4 hours on my way to windrock with no problems at all. Hope this helps you out.

Love the soft top. Keeps the bugs, rain, mud and sun out. Summer comes and you take it off in 2 minutes and packs tightly in machine. I have had my soft top for 3 years with not tears or rips or fading.125 bucks. Now if you have a large head and it sticks up past the ROPS then yes get the hard on

No, you do need to tow it forward only. towing it backwards would bring the air under it and could take it off.

Solid point. Never thought about that! Thanks!

I have the full windshield and half roof hard top and have no issues with the noise or trailering it 3.5-4 hours to my deer lease. And the top isn't squeaky or noisy as stated up above. I have a 40 inch light bar mounted on the front edge of the roof and don't have issues with that either.

Is there enough room for passengers in the back seats?

Thanks! I am trying to decide if I should go with the Deluxe vs the standard 700-4.
What's the price difference. Cause power steering is like 700 and delux wheels another 500 and paddle shift has to be worth a 1000.But if they are asking Ober 15 grand I think I would go with the 1000 model.

I had the soft top and now have the hard top. Only problem with soft top is it would hold about 10 gallons of water after it rained and I couldn't figure out a way to push it out without getting soaked, other than that the soft top was great. I have always towed mine backwards with both the soft and hard top and never had a problem. The tongue weight is just much better on my trailer with it backwards.

It does make it louder with the hard top on, but I think the protection from tree branches and weather out weigh the noise.
