I have a 2023 1000-3 Trail and recently ordered and installed offset A arms for the front (from the club store). The castle-nuts for the upper ball joints extend well beyond the cotter pin hole when torqued. Initially, I was just going to leave it but the more I read the more I don't feel comfortable leaving this way (see photo). Several threads mentioned nylock nuts, but there were no nylock nuts with my order. Should I replace with Nylock nuts??

I got the SATV ball joints and never had that issue. Of corse that was back in like 17’ lol.
In your case of it was me, I would go to the hardware and get some Nyloc nuts. That should work minty👌🏼

I added a washer to mine. To but the cotter pin hole between the slots of the castle nut
