I called a bunch of places within a large radius of home and finally got a OTD quote for a 2017 stock green P500 of $8600 tax included etc. Is that good or should I hold out for less or rebates? Another question I have is, are there any particular things I should have the dealer install or is everything fairly easy like adding the winch mount harness etc? These items and more seem to be cheaper from aftermarket vendors and I figured I could save some money installing stuff myself and by not buying everything from the dealer. Thanks for any feedback.

If your a handy gnome then install accessories yourself.
Is the machine easy to work on? Are there no special tools or are the compartment areas accessible for mounting winches etc?

I don't know if that price is fair or not. I think it sounds a little high but don't know.I own a 700 and have not priced a 500 but If I say that price sucks I'm sure everyone will chime in.Or I think their BORING....and SLOW..... Now there you should get a response now........I'm just kidding give these guys some time and search around the forum.

That's a very good price. Best I was able to do in NH was $8989 OTD for a 2017 green P500, no accessories

Also go to the top of the page and tap on forums. Then scroll down to the 500 section and look at what these guys have done with their 500s

That is an excellent price. The best I could do in Michigan this week was $8750 OTD, and I took it.

Excellent price like others mentioned. I don't know what the sales tax % is there, but I'm sure it's no less than 5 or 6% ? I can tell you that the dealer is not breaking even at that price.
I bought my new '15 at the height of the "frenzy", when a person had to be put on a waiting list to even get one, and I paid $8,699 OTD ( that was a state with no sales tax ). So actually have to add another 6% to it. The '17 model MSRP went up $500 from the '15-'16 models.

The dealer you'll take it ! If he throws in a roof ! You can buy everthing for less on line and the p5 is easy peasy to put stuff on . As for a winch , it's much easier to haul a good come along and they are much more versatile .

My dealer almost always drops prices in the fall and the end of the year, but I didn't want to wait that long. I waited till August to buy mine. They dropped the price $200 in mid August and another $600 in December.

That's a fair price, you're not stealing it but he's not mugging you either. I wouldn't have the dealer install anything, Honda OEM accessories are easy to install. I would order as many, as you plan to buy, from the dealer now though. My dealer gave me 15% off the day of sale, 10% after that.

Everything has been easy to install. Had my brother in law install the winch for me as he had a heated shop and he likes to tinker with that kinda stuff. The only thing he had trouble with were the wires reaching from the winch to the battery. Had a local guy make me longer wires and no big deal. The winch plate I found on eBay was 56$??? I think something around that price. I'd say good price but some people are better at getting the price down lol.

Honda Pioneer 500 Winch Mounting Plate Fits: 2015-2016 Pioneer 500 P/N 13079
This is the mount I bought and it worked with a harbor freight winch. The dealer wanted $600 for a warn winch and I said HELL NO! I went with the $150 one and if it gets me though the season then it's paid for itself. I'm not using it for a plow or anything either so I should get my use outta it.

BUY the machine you won't regret it!!
