Which to buy, where to buy it?

I bought 3 gauges that are supposed to be pretty good. They are $12 each. They read 1-60psi in one pound increments. I don't usually use them for low pressure applications like mowers and atvs.

I compared the three gauges and they all read different. I put them on a 30 psi tire and got readings from 29-32psi. This was just last week because I got fed up with the cheap pencil gauges being 5 pounds off. I do know that dial gauges are supposed to be more accurate and that's what I got but they are still a couple pounds off.

How do you confirm their accuracy?

Well I check wat the computer
says my truck tires are...& compare
to wat gauge says.within a few pounds.

I gotcha.

I'm always looking for one that's accurate to a pound or two because I may run 5-8 psi.

Even those $12 gauges differ by a couple pounds.

Just bought this one this morning.

Likely an updated version of rocmar's. Impressive construction for $9 (Autozone), all-metal except for the cute little ATV tire armor.

Also picked up an 18"-- 1/2" drive breaker bar and a 19mm deep socket to carry as a lug wrench. $18 for both. Ain't Snap-on, but guaranteed for life, and slips nicely into the tool bag.

I recently bought 2 new gauges cause I wanted more accuracy. This is the 0 to 20. Also got a 0 to 60
http://www.amazon.com/Allstar-ALL44076-Range-Pressure-Gauge/dp/B006K8KICQ/?tag=sxsweb24-20
The 2 new ones are are about 1.5 pounds off at 20psi. Which is "consistent" with the other dial gauges I have (except the cheap one I thru out - it was off by 4). At least the new ones are easier to read.

I guess the important thing is getting consistent readings so you know your tires are even. And you can reset back to a previous setting you liked better - whatever the reading was.

In place of a gauge use TLAR (that looks abut right). It's always with you and never wears out.
I can agree to this::::
if you know your ride &
are an experienced rider
you can tell....where your at on your tires

8 out of 10 tire problems out on
a ride....is low pressure & the
bead breaks....
now I'm talking here where
I ride...
I'd rather feel a few more bumps
& not have to deal with it....
10 psi....all corners
with Maxxis Cero's
