I'm going to print a bunch of scale accessories for Take Over. Coolers, jerry cans, sand ladders, ammo cans, snorkels, etc. Probably just leave them in a box on the porch at my cabin and if you want something, grab it.

@Smitty335... In regard to your Venom not having a storage charge mode:

You don't really need a "storage" mode. Charge them to 3.75-3.8 and then pull them off the charger. The discharge on the chargers sucks, so it's easier to just run them down by driving and then charge them back up.

That's what I been doing, What about the NiMH & NiCd batteries? Thanks!

Do you really have NiCd and NiMh packs?
In my Temper,1- NiMH 6 Cell 900 mHw 7.2 V. I seen where several cars run these and most change them out, I didn't want to bug you with questions and I going to do some research on my own and figure out how to switch it over to a LiPo, but if you want to give me a short cut?

Short cut

I don't know anything about the ESC/Rx setup in that ECX, but it more than likely does not have any sort of low voltage cutoff if it still comes with a NiMh pack.

Run one of these hooked up to the balance port and you should be fine (it'll beep when the voltage gets low):

No balance port lead on this battery. I'll do some research. 7.2 is a weird V. Most are 7.4V in the 2S & 3S LiPo's. I've got a lot to learn, have a blessed evening!

7.2v isn't weird. NiMh cells have a nominal operating voltage of 1.2v per cell (x 6 gives you your 7.2v). LiPo cells have a nominal voltage of 3.7v per cell (hence 2s listed at 7.4v, 3s at 11.1v, etc.). You don't need a balance charger with NiMh cells because you can't balance them individually once they are wired up. Well, you can but not with the packs/chargers used in today's RTR vehicles. LiPo cells can be individually addressed and charged/discharged accordingly. With NiMh you want to discharge them all the way since they can develop a "memory" and not hold a nominal charge any longer if left with a lot of juice in them.

Discharging LiPo batteries too much makes them volatile. Once they drop below about 3v per cell they don't take too kindly to the higher charge rates and can/will catch on fire. If you ever drop one too low, you can save it by charging it on NiMh at .1A to try and get some juice back in it.

With the balance lead plugged into the charger?

My LED lights came in. Holy crap they are bright! I've got them hooked up to channel 3 on the Rx so I can turn them on and off with the radio. They'll strobe and flash as well.
