Nice work
My wife has recommended intermittent fasting for a while. For the last several weeks I've simply been skipping breakfast UNLESS I'm going riding. I end up eating dinner around 6ish, and don't eat lunch until 1:30 or so that's...what, 19 hours or so?Been doing some 5s and 10s. I started doing intermittent fasting 20/4 a couple weeks ago. The weight is just falling off. The bad news is 10 miles is about my max fasted. Any more than that and it is not an enjoyable ride.
Getting back in shape (for lack of a better word, in my case) is a grind, but even I am surprised how far I've come.I had a similar story—life got in the way for years, and when I finally dusted off my mountain bike, I felt like a kid again. Sure, I wasn’t as fit, and the gear felt outdated, but the joy of just getting out there was worth it. Starting slow helped a ton, even if it was just easy trails or laps around the neighborhood.
Good looking bike man!Getting back in shape (for lack of a better word, in my case) is a grind, but even I am surprised how far I've come.
In other news...the YT finally arrived...

🙏🏻 ya heal up quick and get back out thereWell...not how I wanted to spend Christmas day, but...
Went out for a ride. Intended to keep it pretty easy since the old taint is still sore from Saturday, and I intended to go that Saturday as well.
Rolling down a blue trail, there is a roll-up or down depending on direction. In the direction I normally ride, it's a roll up. It's man made and looks to be an old car ramp partially buried with rocks stacked to lead up to the non-ramp side. It's on the side of a hill, and the bypass for this is downhill maybe 4-5 yards. I've done this probably 50 times.
Momentum, level pedals because they will strike and roll up it and head on.
Not sure entirely what happened, but I either didn't level up the pedals well OR took and unconscious pedal, pedal struck the top of the ramp, and ended up falling downhill over a pile of rocks from full height, rolling, and ended up with the bike on top of me.
Banged both shoulders pretty hard, but especially my right. After sitting there for a few I realized I'd hit pretty hard and couldn't ride the bike out, so I ended up waking it.
This same shoulder was separated back in 2004 in a street bike accident, so it's not all that structurally sound anyway, and my clavicle was displaced a bit during that one (meaning it sticks up higher than normal). After getting home...it was hard to tell if the collarbone was moved or not. I ultimately went to urgent care the next day and they did x-rays. Didn't break anything...but there is a question if there is any new damage that hasn't been answered yet. I'm thinking not, since it doesn't really hurt...just sore as hell, as you can imagine.
Gonna be off the bike for a while. That really sucks!
Stupid weak paint! 🤣Oh...and the new bike now has a few scratches
