Word of advice, if your Pioneeer has jumped out of reverse or banged, check your P-R-N-H-L shifter for proper adjusments!
Easy to do, put the shifter in Neutral, hold in out of the gate and move it back and forth to check the free play. The play should be centered in the neutral slot area. Not favoring reverse or favoring High. Mine was more towards High by a good bit. To adjust, remove the battery, remove the little black cover under the battery and you will see the cable with 2 nuts locking it to the bracket.
Nuts take a 19 MM wrench and the cable has an 11 MM flat to hold the cable if you need to. Simply adjust the cable up or down to get the shifter centered in the N position.
Might save your reverse gear shift dogs!
