April 2019 got a new 700-4. December last year the battery was no longer holding a charge. Confirmed charging at 14.3 volts. One year later second battery is acting the same as the first. Again confirmed 14.3 volts charging. Drawing .017 volts when measured between - battery post and - cable. Takes about 5 days to drain if in the SXS or setting on the bench. First battery was stock, 2nd was a Chrome Pro iGel YTX14-BS. Any suggestions for a battery that will last a couple years in the great white north at temps below 0- +90 f?

Thanks

+1 for the battery tender if neither brand battery cant hold up. Get name brand though vs some junk knock off.

The very first winter I had my 2019 700 2D (less then 5 months) after it set for a week or so the battery was down and wouldn't start, now It's always on a battery tender when not being used during the cold months, it always starts fine during the summer. I keep all my atvs, lawn mowers anything with a battery on a tender during the cold months.

Been using these for yrs.

Add one of these to the machine and never open the battery box again.

Is the plastics thick enough to get it tight?

Battery tender's are great. But you shouldn't be having batteries take a crap at 1 year old. Have you added anything like sound system, lights, winch, ect...? Sounds like you have a constant draw that would drain any battery. I'm still running the factory battery on a 2016.

If the battery is any good it should sit for 3-4 weeks and start without issue. There's little residual draw on most smaller machines. I only put mine on a charger if it sits more than 4 weeks. Been doing that for years on all kinds of equipment. Cars and trucks have some residual draw and usually will only go about 4 weeks.
